Fly By Night 1975 - Promo video in decent quality color, with less flagging at the top than most copies
Don Kirshner's Rock Concert 1975 - Finding My Way - Best I Can - In The Mood
A combination of the best / longest copy I could find with most of the audio synced from another source
Circumstances 1977 - A rather dark promo video with ok live audio, but I brightened it a bit.
A Farewell to Kings / Xanadu 1977 - Promos taken from Much Music on which I dubbed the CD audio

Witchhunt
New World Man
Distant Early Warning
Red Sector A
Closer to the Heart
YYZ
Tom Sawyer
Vital Signs

"Taken direct from the laserdisc, which unfortunately suffered from the all too common laserrot. This happens to all laserdiscs over time. It is not that bad but shows up as occasional tiny square errors in the video."

Promo Videos:
La Villa Strangiato - Part of the dark Hemispheres promos 1978, made worse by a circular video softness effect.

Big Money - Taken from the Laserdisc, this is the only source for the complete version of this video. Almost a minute longer than the Chronicles version.

Show Don’t Tell
The Pass
Superconductor
Nobody’s Hero
- These 4 videos were taken from MTV or Much Music and redubbed direct from CD audio. S

All video is encoded at about 5MBPS VBR and uncompressed PCM audio format.

Comments: P roducer Notes:
It's been a few years since the original VCD production of this title, and the 10th anniversary of this excellent concert it seems like a fitting time for this DVD release. There have been a few DVD-Rs of this show circulating in trading circles, even one borrowing the original VCD title, but this the "official" AppleJack Studios produced version of the title. And, although the title is the same and artwork is similarly updated from the VCD release, this is in actuality an all-new production. A different low-gen VHS copy of the in-house feed from the arena was used as the video source, generously contributed from the collection of "Gandalf". The video quality is superb, the colors are rich and full, the detail crisp, and only on a handful of occasions is the slightest hint that the video isn't a master copy. This picture looks as good on a big screen as it does on a small one, and if you have ever seen a video bootleg on big screen television, you understand what a compliment this is.The audio is also excellent. Once again, it was sourced from the "Critical Mass" bootleg, but for this release it was nicely remastered by Rush-Signals productions and has a new fullness and bass presence that was somewhat lacking in the original bootleg audio. Collectors of other versions of this show will recall that there are 40-odd seconds missing from YYZ on the video feed; for this release, the audio was retained intact and a short slide show of stills is presented during this portion of the concert.

Thanks and credits go to Gandalf for donating the video source, to leegeddy for facilitating the donation, to Dave at Rush-Signals Productions for the fine audio remastering, and to
Duley for another stellar job on the DVD cover and menu artwork. Please trade this production freely, it was made by
fans for fans, and is never to be bought or sold.

Title: Vaporizing Atlanta
Location: Phillips Arena, Atlanta GA
Quality: A
Format: 1 DVD
Format: 2 CD

Track list: not available
Comments:   Brian (the masterer) says: I started with the audio, listening to different boots,   and requesting info on the section of the arena the taper was   located. The audio only DR Southern Trails boot proved to best for   the Front, very clear. The front channels (Left, Middle, Right) are   actually from the DR Southern Trails DTS. I used software not listed   on the Notes page to breakdown the DTS into its respective channels.   The Rear and Sub channel of the DTS boot were rather poor quality to   my ears. So, next came locating a suitable rear channel. I came   across a boot that was in the middle to rear section of the arena.   It's evident due to the lack of highs, but profound rich mids and   lows from the echoes and reverb of Philips Arena , made for a good   rear channel. I used (at the time) CoolEdit Pro2 and then Audition   1.5 to sync the Rear channels to the Front. Then I mix pasted all   channels together and ran a low pass 120 Hz filter to generate the LFE. Next came the extremely tedious task of removing anomalies from  all 6 channels. Pops, clicks, excessive clapping drowning out music,   and etc. All thanks to Audition 1.5 (spectral view)"   "With the audio completed, next came syncing the video to audio, not   syncing audio to video. I wasn't going to touch the audio since I   had spent over a year working on it. As a result, the 'gaps' in the   video had to be filled with stills and video. I choose to sync the   video to 'Live' Neil when the video was at maximum zoom at 1/8   playback speed. It's evident throughout the show the big screen   delay to the live band varies. With the video in sync, and my desire   to have 2 full 5.1 audio streams, I had to wait for DVDLab Pro to
move out of beta. DVDLab is great, but the Pro version has all the   extra bells and whistles I desired. The menus, transitions, chapter   recall, and jump from Set 2, chapter 1 to Set 1, chapter 13, of the   DVD are the work of DLPro. In the end, I'm extremely pleased with   the outcome, it's my masterpiece, my favorite show. After 2 years of   the relentless pursuit of perfection, I can actually enjoy watching
and listening to it, and share my creation with fellow Rush fans. :)
